Fall-tivities: Pumpkins, Rugs, Windows, and Garage Sales

Happy Halloween!  Jordan and I have been busy this month will all kinds of Fall-tivities!  Between work and S&E's wedding, I've been a little behind on posts so I'll get right into the pictures!

We took pumpkin pictures!  Our pumpkin patch pictures are just like everyone else's.  #ObligatoryPumpkinPicture.  We like to support our local church's pumpkin patch so we hit it up on Oct 9th to take a few pictures (top and bottom right).  And no Halloween is complete without a little candy corn.  It's not my most favorite candy, but Jordan loves it (bottom left)!

We've also been doing a little mini house remodel as you've seen in previous posts.  I've been enjoying our new bed and bedding SO much!  I think the teal, spa, aqua colors are relaxing without being too boring.  With the new bedding and fresh colors, we decided that it might be time for a new living room rug.  Our last rug was a beautiful green and red rug from World Market.  It's been great (only about 5 years old) but the rug didn't really go well with teal.  Off to Nebraska Furniture Mart we went!

We found the perfect rug!!!
Top Left: I brought a living room pillow and pillow case from our bed to compare to rug selection.  That was the best idea ever!  Blues seem very difficult to match or compliment so the pillow was really helpful!
Right and Bottom Left: The rug that we loved happened to be made by Magnolia Home.  I just LOVE Chip and Joanna Gaines!  It's exciting to have one of their pieces in our house!  We bought the Kivi rug in "Mediterranean Fog".  You can find it online HERE.

We bought the 8x11 size which is much larger than the last rug we had (6x9).  We have MUCH more rug space now and Abby is loving it!
Left: This is the rug in our living room.  It has a few ripples because it still needs to settle after being packed so tight.
Right Top and Bottom: Despite her annoyed face (I interrupted her while playing), Abby is enjoying the new rug!
When we first unrolled the rug, it looked very WHITE compared to what it seemed like in the store.  It sort of has a holographic effect, looks white from some angles, and dark teal from another angle. I dig it!

Last Saturday, Jordan and I hit up a couple of garage sales.  Every time we go junkin' it is always an interesting adventure!
Top Left: I have no idea what this piece is exactly, but I loved it.  It's like a very thin slice of a table.  It's perfect for a narrow bathroom or hallway.  I might try to paint it.
Top Middle: We found a great deal on some adjustable weights!
Top Right: I found a life jacket for Abby.  She has one at the lake but its a bit too tight for her.  This one fits perfectly!  She hates wearing it but it'll be perfect next Summer!
Bottom Right: While garage sale hoppin' we saw a helicopter transporting what looked to be an AC unit!  As it turns out, this helicopter was expertly moving several AC units from the ground to the top of a school.  It was incredible to watch!
Bottom Left: Later in the day we found a lost dog on the road.  This pup was almost hit by traffic (at least twice) so we felt like we needed to find it's owner.  A very looooong story short, this pup had NO tags but was chipped.  The owner was only half helpful because the contact person was no longer the owner of the dog.  We ended up taking him to the nearby animal shelter.  Hopefully his true owner found him!

Lastly, we finally got our new window!  Last April we had a window broken from the hail storm and I was so glad to get it fixed!  The contractor did an excellent job and the new window is so pretty!
These are some pictures from the window removal.  We went from a basic aluminum window to an easy to clean white window pane.

This is the finished window!

That's it for today!  I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
