Noodles

As usual, I'm behind on posting about the happenings in our household. I want to share a few pics from last week.

Abby recently had her annual check up at the vet and it turned out that she needed her teeth seriously cleaned. Small dog breeds seem to have dental problems so Jordan and I have been trying to keep it under control as much as possible. The only catch is that they have to put pups under anesthesia to clean their teeth. It's totally understandable, but it's rough (ruff) on the dog. Abby handled the drugs like a champ and she sure gave us a few laughs.

When we first picked her up we tried to let her potty. I set her on the grass but, she refused to use all 4 legs. She looked more like a gopher just stoically still. When we finally got home, she made lots of grunting noises and we caught her staring at the wall a few times.

In the end, our little noodle was fine and she doesn't have to get her teeth cleaned again (surgically) for a long time.

She is completely out of it in these pictures.

Friday evening we decided to have dinner with some friends and do a little exploring. It's nice to find places near us that we've never been or new restaurants to try!

We ended up going to downtown Wylie to a place called Villa Vinci. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the location was about half way between our friends and us. Plus, it is a BYOB place.

This is Jordan and a picture of the exterior of the restaurant. Wow, this little old town street was hopping on a Friday night!

The food was delightful! I'm a sucker for pasta (carbs) anyway, but this was excellent Italian food. Jordan got fettuccine and I got something called "Pollo Murphy". Mine was a pink sauce over linguine but it had jalapeƱos in it! Spicy! Villa Vinci's prices were reasonable too. I'll definitely try that place again sometime.

After dinner our friends, Steffany and Dustin, came back to our house for a fire. They are in the market place for a house soon and I think they are most looking forward to having a backyard!
Top: Jordan always does a fantastic job setting up the fire-pit and chairs. He keeps our backyard looking nice!
Bottom Left: Jordan took this really cool infrared picture of the 4 of us. I think this is awesome technology and the teaky torches glow beautifully in the night!
Bottom Right: We had a few fire sticks left over so Jordan made our fire blue!!! I'll have to elaborate about these fire sticks later, but these are an awesome outdoor novelty if you're looking for stocking stuffers!

Saturday morning we caught up on things around the house. Abby slept in and looked zonked (zombie like white eyes).  I think she was just soaking up the rest from the week's dental adventures.  By Saturday, she was finally back to her normal self.

Many busy weekends ahead! That's all for today!
