Weddings and Anniversaries

I'm just getting around to sharing the festivities from last weekend but I have lots of pictures!  Jordan and I had the pleasure of attending our friends wedding and celebrating our 6th anniversary!

Our friends, Amanda and Tim, got married in Fort Worth on the TCU campus.  The wedding turned out gorgeous and my dear friend looked so beautiful!

Below, we are in front of the Robert Carr steeple!  We arrived Friday afternoon for the rehearsal since I was a bridesmaid so we had a little selfie time!

Saturday, the ceremony started at 12:30 so all of the bridesmaids met at Amanda's apartment early in the morning to get ready.  It's funny how you can meet total strangers (the other bridesmaids) and realize that you all have lots in common!  Amanda has a wonderful group of friends so I really enjoyed getting to know those ladies!  They are all hilarious and we each know Amanda from different eras of our lives.  Us girls had fun getting ready and Amanda had coffee, mimosas, quiche, and breakfast for us to enjoy!

And I have to say, our transportation to and from the church was awesome!  We got to ride the FtW trolley!  It worked out great because we had plenty of room for our bags, great views of the city, and even music of our choice to jam to (iPod/iPhone capabilities).
Top Left: This is Amanda and her mom in the trolley on the way to the church!  The trolley gave us plenty of room so we didn't scrunch the veil!
Top Right: This is a new friend, Becca, and I visiting on the trolley!  Even the husbands of these ladies were great!  Jordan hung out with the guys and I think they had even more fun that we did!
Bottom: We couldn't miss the opportunity to take a group picture just before the ceremony!  All the ladies looked beautiful!

Top Left: This is another group picture of us girls with our bouquets!  Jordan was such a great trooper to take a few pictures for us!
Right: First kiss as husband and wife!
Bottom Left: First dance as husband and wife!  Jordan took this picture and I just love the lighting and the center pieces in the forefront.

adore the details at weddings so I had to snag a few of these lovely pictures to share!  I loved the color scheme of deep navy with shades of peach and pink.
Top Left: This gorgeous cake tasted amazing!  Yum!
Top Right: This was Amanda's bouquet!  The colors are soft and lovely!
Middle Right: Our bridesmaid bouquets were beautiful and unique!  I think they hearken back to the royal wedding bridesmaid bouquets!
Bottom Left: Men's boutonnieres!
Bottom Middle: Centerpieces on the cocktail tables!
Bottom Left: I thought this was a super cool decor!  These are coffee beans spray painted gold!  A beautiful and economic idea!

Top Left: Amanda even worked hard on some place cards for the tables!  They turned out beautifully!
Top Right: This was another great idea!  Both the bride and the groom shared pictures from their parents and generations before them.  It was really cool to see how the times change and see their lovely family!
Bottom Left: This was the bride and groom just after the ceremony.  As I said, the trolley took the ladies to the church and then took the entire bridal party from the church to the reception!  It was really fun to jam to music and relax after the ceremony!
Bottom Right: I hadn't seen Jordan much during the day so it was nice to dance with him and grab a quick picture.

All in all, the wedding turned out fabulous and we are so thrilled for Amanda and Tim to begin this new chapter in their life!

The Spring time is a super popular time to have weddings.  Our anniversary was just 1 day after Amanda and Tim's wedding day but we know several other couples who share the day!  Happy wedding bells to all our friends with anniversaries this time of year!

After such a busy weekend Jordan and I decided to take a day off work to rest and celebrate our anniversary.  We had a great dinner at OTB and then went to see Allegiant.
Top Left: OTB!  Their salsa is the best in my opinion!
Top Right and Bottom Left: Movie selfies!  I enjoyed the Divergent book series so I had to see the last movie of the trilogy.  If you're a stickler for movies following the book, you'll hate the movie.  I tend to be comfortable with movies taking liberties so I enjoyed the movie.  Very futuristic and I thought the affects were pretty good!  Plus, I'm a fan of Theo James (who plays Four)
Bottom Right: Jordan surprised me with some anniversary flowers!  I love the fresh flowers and move them from room to room in our house all the time.  Maybe I'm too girly but I love waking up and seeing the flowers on our dresser!

Well, that's all I've got for you guys today!  Happy Easter and Spring!
