Tinsel in a Tangle - 2015 Parade

Last weekend Jordan and I had a blast at the lake.  My family and the community helped to organize a parade around the lake neighborhood!  This is about the 3rd time we’ve done the parade and each year the crowd grows larger and the decorations a little brighter!  I’ve got pictures to help you visualize the parade but it was an awesome display of hillbilly lights and fun.

Before the parade, all participants met at the community pavilion and so we snagged a few sunset pictures while we waited for the corral to arrive.  I just love this top picture of John and Remi next to their float.  It’s a boat with a Christmas tree strapped in!  Elizabeth made the best comparison calling it a Who-Ville tree since it was whipping in the wind and looked topsy-turvy!

The parade started off very well and I did my best to take nice pictures.
Top: This is one of my favorites of the parade line.  You can see it going back down the road and the Who-Ville tree (in red lights) looks great!
Bottom Left: Scott was having fun peeking out the side of the Jitney

Bottom Right: Our friends, Joyce and Steve

These are some general pictures of the crowd.

At this point, several of us had to get ready to play a few Christmas songs!  Every year we managed to collect a few people to come join our little band and the crowd seems to enjoy the Christmas music.
Aunt Cindy was such a good source of entertainment for the kiddos.  Every year she dresses as an elf but this year, Elf-Cindy helped the kids participate in the show!  She brought jingle bells for each child to play with the band!
Left Top and Bottom: Cindy really getting into the Christmas spirit with the kiddos!
Top Right: Mom and I just before our Christmas music!
Bottom Right: Remi, Me, and Mom playing our instruments!

Lastly, I had to share this picture with you all.  It’s rare that Jordan and I are in photos together because usually one of us is the photographer but this picture turned out GREAT!  Photo credit goes to our friend, Steve!  Thank you for sharing!
I hope everyone is enjoying the anticipation of the season as we get ready for Christmas day!  May your days be cheery and bright!
