Engaged! S+E

I'm thrilled to share the news that my "little" brother is ENGAGED!  Wahoo!  Last weekend Scott proposed to Elizabeth in Fort Worth and Jordan and I are honored to have been there for the big moment.  I have about 25 some-odd pictures of this special day to share!

We all got together at Scott and Elizabeth's house to kick off Elizabeth's birthday and then headed to Sundance Square to see the city tree and do some light window shopping.

Top Left: Elizabeth, Mom, and Me at S&E's house.
Top Right: You know you're in Texas when there is a huge store dedicated to furs!  The 3 of us girls had a ball trying on hats, coats, capes, scarves, hand muffs, etc. I loved this combo hat/scarf creation.
Bottom Left: Mom and Dad in front of Santa's sleigh!  The weather was rainy that weekend but cleared up that afternoon.
Bottom Right: Sundance Square marker in the cement.

Top: Elizabeth, Scott, Jordan, and I in front of a giant ornament.

After Sundance Square, the six of us headed to one of our favorite dives called the Love Shack.  This is a cute venue, or rather, venue between two buildings.  They have live music and plenty of picnic tables to sit down.  We visited the Love Shack when I first met Elizabeth back in 2014 and you can see pictures HERE
These are a few pictures of Scott writing their names into the picnic table.  (Don't worry, no laws were broken.  The Love Shack encourages people to leave their mark!)
I think it's super cute that, though this is a small little doodle on a picnic table, it's a sweet way to memorialize the special day.

Then, it was picture time!  Scott filled me in on his plans so I made sure to have the camera ready to go!
We took a few standard couple photos.  This banner is a special place for both tourists and locals!
We took pictures in this exact location in May of 2014 so needless to say, it's a great photo opp.  This is just off the corner of Exchange and Rodeo.

In between pictures I suggested we take just one more. In that moment, in the middle of the street, Scott got down on one knee, pulled a ring out of his boot, and popped the question!
The moment was truly magical!  You could see the surprise on Elizabeth's face
(bottom left) and the entire community surrounding us, paused to witness this earnest expression of love.  The crowds whooped and yelled in encouragement of S&E!  Traffic literally stopped to observe and honked their horns (in celebration)!  Even the nearby shoe-shiner yelled "That's the way to do it big boy!"  Oh, what a cool moment that gives me goosebumps just to think about it!

She said "YES" and the celebration kissing ensued!
Pictures of the happy couple and her zing-zinging ring!

Top: We took a few moments to call Elizabeth's family and I think at this point Scott was just googlie.
Bottom Left: Down the road in front of a Christmas tree!
Bottom Right: Dad, Elizabeth, Scott, and Mom

After we left Cowtown, we headed to Pappasitos Cantina for some yummy Mexican food!
Top Left: They ran some cattle down the road so it was kind of cool that we got to see it! They don't call it Cowtown for nothing!
Bottom Left: Elizabeth's brother, Neal, met up with us to celebrate both her birthday and engagement!
Bottom Right: Scott and Elizabeth both looked elated!

I'm so happy for S&E!  This Christmas we have so much to rejoice in!
