Labor Day Lounge

We had such a fantastic Labor Day weekend at the lake!  We always have a wonderful time but it's especially great when we get lots of boating time in!  We can't really call it a "family reunion" because there were too many people missing to make it a reunion.  Still, we have a big family so there are no "small" gatherings.  "Small" at the lake is at least 10 people.

I have 20 pictures to share with you so I'd better get right into it.

Photo Credit for all three of these pics goes to my cousin, Jennifer!  Thank you for sharing!
Left: This is so typical of Sophie.  The boat is crusing along and she is hanging out on the back deck living on the wild side!!!  This is a great picture of her in her element with her ears flapping in the wind.  Love that grumpy pup.
Top Right: My second cousin, Libby, convinced my mom to jump off the boat with her.  Mom obliged and luckily, Jennifer snapped this photo!
Bottom Right: Jordan and Libby playing washers.

Top: Libby, Jennifer, and Mom enjoying the water!  It was easily 100 degrees!
Bottom Left: Dad and Jordan.
Bottom Right: Sophie post-lake jump.  She LOVES the water so much!  It's such a difference from Abby who is definitely not a fan of the lake.  They are polar opposites; city dog and country dog!

Then it was tubing time!!!
These are some of my favorite pictures of Libby and Jennifer on the tube!  Brave souls.  I'm not really a fan of the tube these days (you know... now that I'm 30).  Look at those happy smiles!

Our next victims takers were John and Remi.  John had plenty of theatrical faces for me to capture!
Doesn't it look kind of painful?!?!  Just when I'd think he was about to wipeout, he'd recover!

Top and Bottom Left: Scott and Jordan playing the KanJam frizzbie game.  When the sun goes down and the heat (sorta) breaks, it's much easier to be outside.
Right: As per our usual MO, we had a fantastic buffet of food!  Dad worked hard at the smoker and Mom and Cindy made amazing dishes for all of us to enjoy!

Top Right: This is our garlic cheesy bread.  It's super easy to make and always seems to go quickly.  You can find the recipe HERE
Other: Dad smoked 2 pork roasts and Mom and I pulled the meat apart.  It was SO good I had to resist snitching!  Sophie kept a close eye on us and turned on the adorable eyes to beg.

Happy (belated) Labor Day from all of us at the lake!
From L to R: Elizabeth, Neal, Scott, Jordan, Dad, Mom, John, Steve, Remi, Tommy, Jennifer, Stephanie, Libby, and Cindy
