Stars Nest Curtains

Hi Friends!  It's one of those quiet kind of weekends, you know?  Jordan and I have had a great day tinkering around the house, so I thought I would do a little catch up post on the happenings of the last week. I've been adjusting to my new job lately (which has it's ups and downs), but it seems that Jordan will be going through the same thing shortly!  We want to officially announce that Jordan also has a new job now (don't worry, he is still doing financial planning part time)!  Both of us are transitioning into new roles with our existing companies and will be spending the first part of 2015 focusing on that area of our lives, I'm sure.  I'm very excited for Jordan and wish him well!   One of the fun perks of my job is that my department will occasionally get tickets to a game or concert at the American Airlines Center.  Last week, we had the pleasure of watching our Dallas Stars hockey team play against the Winnipeg Jets.  Spoiler alert, Dallas lost

Foundation Fitbit

The last few weeks Jordan and I have just been enjoying life.  The Fall/Winter is always a busy time for us, but we've had a nice little lull lately.  The scheduling lull has come at a convenient time with my job and has allowed me to focus on my new role and learn the ropes.  Still, we've had some interesting things happening around our household! When we got back to town after our Christmas break, we realized that something was wrong with the pipes in our master bathtub.  I always worry about the house when we aren't home, but my imagination was going wild.  Jordan found some time to investigate, and it turns out that my worry was unnecessary.  It seems that we needed a new posi-temp valve because the old one was just too brittle and aged.  A posi-temp valve is the thing that regulates the temperature of the water when other faucets are in use, or so I'm told.  In other words, it's the little thing that prevents someone from being scalded with hot water when s
