I hope you all had a great Memorial weekend!  If you know any veterans or someone in the military, take a moment to thank them for their service!  In our family, we've had several brave men serve our country in various branches of the military.  In particular, I want to thank my brother, Andy, for his 10 years of service in the United States Navy!  We love you and miss you! We had such a great weekend catching up with family this memorial day holiday!  Jordan and I both took Friday off work so it was a 4 day weekend for us to spend some quality time at the lake! I have family from the Buffalo, NY area and they flew down to Texas for the weekend.  Truly, they don't really get a well rounded Texas visit because they spend the whole time at the lake.  The lake can tend to be a little redneck, but we love it! When we have a long weekend, there is just too much to share so I have to give you the cliff notes version. GAMES :  There is never...

I just love the spring and summer seasons.  There is so much going on and everyone is always just buzzing with spring fever or has special weekend plans.  Around here and at the lake, the hours of 5pm-10pm are really the prime hours to get stuff done and hang outside.   Here are a few updates from the last few weekends that I've wanted to share! Yes, I've managed to keep our new hydrangea alive!  I had a friend look after it while we were in Vegas but this thing is a little sensitive and takes a lot of water!  She finally bloomed so I've enjoyed a single stem hydrangea at work and will probably cut one for the house soon.  Hydrangea ranks pretty high on my list of favorite flowers. Now that it's warmer, that means much more regular mowing outside. We let our backyard grow longer than normal so I had to snap a picture to share with you all.  The top pictures is the "before" Jordan mowed and the bottom picture is the "after" photo....

Hold on to your hats friends!  I have 106 photos to share with you guys.  Yipes!  Where did all the pictures come from you might ask?  That would be Vegas baby!  Jordan and I have spent the last 5 days in Las Vegas, Nevada where we saw so many cool things!  Vegas is just an overload for the senses because there are so many things to see, hear, and do.  I'm going to take you through our trip but I'll try to let the pictures do most of the talking. Top Left:  I was anxious to get to Vegas so I had to take a picture of our flight info.  In this shot we had 14 minutes before boarding! Top Right: Jordan and I stayed at the Aria Hotel Resort and Casino.  We both were really comfortable and liked where we were.  The aria is about in the middle of the strip which was helpful for traveling.  This is picture of part of the room.
