Hi Everyone!  I thought it was time to check in to share a few pictures from the last few eventful weeks.  It's been interesting adjusting to the ever-changing Texas weather. A couple weekends ago, the weather was so warm that it felt like Spring was almost here!  Our trees and plants actually have fresh little buds on them!  We decided to take the evening to lounge in the backyard visiting and smelling the warm air.   This was such an enjoyable Sunday evening!  I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant night!  Jordan played Abby's favorite chasing game tried to catch her as she ran around the backyard.  It was hard to get a picture with Abby in focus!  The following work week went well.  My new job is really great!  In fact, I'm enjoying it so much that I keep waiting for the bottom to fall out.  Like I'm waiting for my workload to slam me or something.  I guess I'm in a denial phase but hopefully it continue...

Meep!  I seem to be perpetually behind when it comes to blog posts.  Jordan and I have had a wonderful week!  We are both settling into our new jobs, the weather has been beautiful, and all in all, life is good!  Last weekend we had a visit from my brother, Scott, and Elizabeth! The four of us had a lot of fun hanging out together so, of course, I have some pictures to share! We decided to load up and head to TopGolf Saturday after lunch, and on the way, we passed the South Fork Ranch.  If you've ever seen the show Dallas , you'll know the SF Ranch is kind of a big deal.  We didn't have time to tour the ranch, but we did stop for a quick photo opp!  There was construction on the street but don't worry, we were careful. Good morning everyone!  I've been very distracted lately so I'm a bit backlogged on blog pics to share with ya'll!  Eesh!  Recently, Jordan and I got connected to the public library in our area.  Our library has a ton of free audio books available to members and each audio book can be accessed from an app on our phones!  I love listening to book after book, but it's pulled my attention away from other things! We've had a busy couple of weeks.  I guess the first place to start would be the storm that hit the northeast!!!  Below are some pictures taken by my Uncle Dave.  This is Lake Ontario and it's quite icey and snowy.  It's really difficult to imagine this level of snow since we live in Texas.  I've never seen anyone "fall through ice" or "sink in deep snow".  Not in real life at least.  If you live up north, take care of yourself! Hi Friends!  It's one of those quiet kind of weekends, you know?  Jordan and I have had a great day tinkering around the house, so I thought I would do a little catch up post on the happenings of the last week. I've been adjusting to my new job lately (which has it's ups and downs), but it seems that Jordan will be going through the same thing shortly!  We want to officially announce that Jordan also has a new job now (don't worry, he is still doing financial planning part time)!  Both of us are transitioning into new roles with our existing companies and will be spending the first part of 2015 focusing on that area of our lives, I'm sure.  I'm very excited for Jordan and wish him well!   One of the fun perks of my job is that my department will occasionally get tickets to a game or concert at the American Airlines Center.  Last week, we had the pleasure of watching our Dallas Stars hockey team play against the Winnipeg Jets.  Spoiler ale...

The last few weeks Jordan and I have just been enjoying life.  The Fall/Winter is always a busy time for us, but we've had a nice little lull lately.  The scheduling lull has come at a convenient time with my job and has allowed me to focus on my new role and learn the ropes.  Still, we've had some interesting things happening around our household! When we got back to town after our Christmas break, we realized that something was wrong with the pipes in our master bathtub.  I always worry about the house when we aren't home, but my imagination was going wild.  Jordan found some time to investigate, and it turns out that my worry was unnecessary.  It seems that we needed a new posi-temp valve because the old one was just too brittle and aged.  A posi-temp valve is the thing that regulates the temperature of the water when other faucets are in use, or so I'm told.  In other words, it's the little thing that prevents someone from being scalded wi...
